Throughout her medical academic career she has qualified with distinction marks in various subjects. She is a Gold medalist in her Graduation examination and has achieved highest rank in her Post Graduate examination in RIO, Kolkata in 2015.

She has published various papers in national and international journals, and has delivered delegate talks in conferences as well.

Dr Manideepa Banerjee completed her MBBS degree course from North Bengal Medical College,West Bengal in 2010, Post-graduate degree course (MS) from Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Kolkata in 2015. She completed fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus from Medical Research Foundation, Sankara Nethralaya from October 2015-December 2016. She also received training from Aravind Eye Hospitals, Coimbatore in Pediatric Retina and ROP screening in February 2017. Between March 2017-2019 she worked as Pediatric ophthalmology consultant in Rajan Eye Care Hospital and Kanchi Kamakoti Childs Trust Hospital, Chennai. Presently, she is working as an Associate consultant in the department of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus in Sankara Nethralaya, Kolkata.

She is very passionate about children and loves to deal with various eye problems in children. Her areas of interest are early detection and rehabilitation of refractive errors, lazy eye, squint and cataract in pediatric population.
